PLEASE NOTE...
Margaret Elementary School will not have a Pre-K for 2024-2025. Their program has been relocated to Moody Elementary School due to unavailability of classroom space. If your child is zoned for Margaret Elementary you will need to register for Moody Elementary.

Student Supplies and Needs
Parents and guardians are asked to supply:
Weekly tuition ($10 or $25 depending on lunch status)
Markers, Crayons, Scissors, Glue Sticks,
A blanket or towel to cover up with each day at nap
A bicycle helmet
A backpack

The St. Clair County Board of Education has been in partnership with the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education since 2007. St. Clair County currently has 18 classrooms throughout the county. Alabama leads the nation in ensuring quality while expanding program access. Alabama's strong quality policies result in high quality learning experiences and teaching, higher than research finds as a national average.

The award-winning documentary film, “Starting at Zero: Reimagining Education in America,” focuses on Alabama’s nationally-recognized First Class Pre-K program and highlights state leaders, including Governor Ivey, who continue to strongly support the expansion of and prioritize investment in high quality early learning and care programs.
The documentary was filmed at locations throughout Alabama in 2017-2019 and prominently features First Class Pre-K and First Teacher Home Visiting educators, Department staff, and business and community stakeholders.
